Basuki Doubted Transjakarta Bus Quality

The incident of the burning Transjakarta bus purchased in 2013 was lamented by Jakarta Vice Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama. The man who popularly called as Ahok suspected the entire quality of Transjakarta bus fleet is poor. Therefore, he instructs the Transjakarta Technical Unit to investigate it thoroughly.

"There is no perishable goods, whereas it was bought a year ago. I am very suspicious, and this must be investigated soon," asserted Basuki, at Jakarta City Hall, Thursday (8/28).

Former Regent of East Belitung instructs the vendor side to repair the burning bus due to its product is still new. "If they (vendor) refuse it, he will cast a lawsuit," he expressed.

He acknowledged he never doubted the quality of Chinese products. He even suspects there are elements who play in such case. The Attorney General has also been investigating the procurement of 2013 Transjakarta bus, which allegedly occurred mark-budget.

"I don't doubt the Chinese products, they have many advanced technologies such as cell phone. But many of our people are insolent, they deliberately order poor-quality goods, that's why they are easily rusty," he asserted.

Due to this condition, he decides not to purchase the bus temporarily. Rather than having the poor-quality bus, his party prefers to focus on passenger's safety. "That's why we had better not have a vehicle, rather than have a poor-quality vehicles," he exclaimed.
